Ashton Tyree

Rhythmic Powerhouse

Appalachian by birth, Floridian by passion, Ashton’s rhythmic stylings are as diverse as his musical background. Ashton began his formal music training at 11 years old in woodwinds with Clarinet and Saxaphone along with the unique experience of learning Harmonica from one of the original Harmonicats during his teenage years.
A founding member of Lil’ Sumthin, Ashton blends a wide range of musical stylings and influences to drive the dynamics, maintain the pace, and augment the impact within the storytelling and melodic direction of Scott Gordon.
As a multidimensional player, Ashton also takes the throne for a dedicated Funk/Jazz trio, a raucous Rockabilly and Americana band, and a Rock N’ Roll party band to name a few of his other current projects. It is from these other projects that Ashton pulls disparate threads to weave a rhythmic web that links Lil’ Sumthin and captivates audiences to move with the groove.
